Emre Can stars in Liverpool 2-2 draw with West Brom

Emre Can played a staring role in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Brom in the Premier League today.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp once again deployed Can in the Red’s midfield alongside Jordan Henderson and James Milner. The 21-year-old has been a constant fixture in Liverpool’s midfield since the appointment of Klopp.

Can midfielder received a rating of 7.6 from WhoScored, the highest among Liverpool’s players. The Germany international made four key passes, took one shot on target and maintained a passing accuracy of 86%.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man made the highest number of passes for his team and contributed defensively with three tackles and three interceptions.

Liverpool were unable to come away with all three points against West Brom at Anfield despite taking an early lead.

Club captain Henderson scored the opening goal for the Reds on 21 minutes but Dawson equalised soon after for the victory and Olisson put the Baggies ahead in the second half.

The Reds looked destined for their second consecutive defeat in the league until Origi rescued a point in the fifth minute of additional time.
