Euro Giants in talks with Leicester City over £28 million star striker

Besiktas have opened talks with Premier League side Leicester City over the transfer of Islam Slimani.

The Algeria international has been linked with a move away from the Foxes after failing to settle in following his big-money move from Sporting.

Besiktas meanwhile are on the hunt for a new striker after offloading Cenk Tosun to Everton last week. The Turkey international made his debut for Sam Allardyce’s side over the weekend.

According to Sky Sports, Besiktas President Fikret Orman is in negotiations with Leicester City.

Orman was present at the King Power Stadium during Leicester City’s win over Fleetwood Town 2-0 in the FA Cup third round replay.

The Black Eagles are looking to sign Slimani on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy included.

Leicester won’t, however, be prepared to allow their striker to leave on the cheap after signing him for £28 million back in 2016.
