Ex Man Utd star hoping for first European start – Expected Fenerbahce Line-up

Fenerbahçe take on Greek side Atromitos in the Europa League play-off first round game at the Persister Municipal stadium tonight.

Vitor Pereira has decided to included former Manchester United star Robin van Persie in the squad but doubts remain over whether he will start.

The 32-year-old has yet to be included in the starting XI this season due to lacking match fitness but has made his debut for the club coming on as a second half substitute in the goals draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League preliminary play-off.

The Yellow Canaries other former United player Luis Nani is however, almost certain to start.

Pereira is likely to name a similar starting XI to the side that beat Eskişehirspor 2-0 on the opening day of the Süper Lig season last week.

Simon Kjaer is however, suspended and summer signing Ozan Tufan has not bee included in the squad.

Pereira will be very familiar with Atromitos after winning the Greek league and cup double last season.

The Portuguese manager will be hoping for no more slip-ups in Europe. Fenerbahçe have invested heavily over the summer bringing in 10 transfers. This is essentially a new team compared to last season and will need time to settle but should have enough individual quality to get a result against Atromitos.
