Emre Can played a staring role in Germany U21’s 3-0 win over Denmark U21 last night in the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Germany were ahead after 32 minute when Emre Can put Kevin Volland through on goal with an exquisite pass. Volland went on to make the score 2-0 three minutes into the second half the Ginter put the result beyond doubt when he found the back of the net in the 53rd minute.
Can received a rating of 7.74 from WhoScored. The Germany U21 international made one key pass, maintained a passing accuracy of 92.7% and made three successful tackles.
The 21-year-old joined from Bayer Leverkusen as a central midfielder but soon found himself as a makeshift defender. Can adapted well to playing as a centre-back in Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers back three but had a few problems at right-back.
Following the final whistle we took to Twitter to see how Can’s latest performance went down on social media. Read a selection of what we found below:
Emre Can has been bossing games at every youth level going back to U15s. Interesting to see if he can make transition to senior team.
