Fenerbahce in advanced talks with Arsenal over 28-year-old ace, £3m a-year being demanded

Fenerbahce are in advanced talks with Arsenal ace Lucas Perez according to reports in Turkey.

Per the source, the Istanbul giants have offered Perez £3 million [€3.5m] per-season.

The report does suggest that Fenerbahce are facing competition from from across Europe.

Fenerbahce have made signing a new striker a priority over the summer.

Moussa Sow is set to return to his parent club following a loan spell at the Fenerbahce. Robin van Persie is reaching the end of his career while Emmanuel Emenike has been transfer listed.

Perez made the move to Arsenal from Deportivo for £17 million (BBC) last summer but has struggled for first team football.

The 28-year-old scored just one goal in 11 Premier League appearances this season.

Fenerbahce and Arsenal will both compete in the Europa League this season after disappointing domestic campaigns in their respective leagues.

The Canaries finished the league in third place and booked a place in the Europa League group stages in the process.
