Liverpool midfielder Emre Can stated that his new teammates Firminho is exactly what the side need going into the new season.
Can told the official Liverpool site: “He is a very, very good player – he scores a lot of great goals, and that’s what we need.”
The 23-year-old sealed a move to Liverpool from Hoffenheim last month for a fee that could reach as high as £28 million.
The attacking-midfielder provided a total of 36 assists and provided 49 goals for the Bundesliga outfit in 153 appearances in all competitions last season.
Liverpool have signed Firmino, Joe Gomez James Milner, Adam Bogdan, Danny Ings, Nathaniel Clyne, Christian Benteke so far this summer.
Can joined Liverpool on a £9.75 million transfer last season from Bayer Leverkusen and established himself as a first team player despite being played out of position.
The 21-year-old joined as a central-midfielder but played as a centre-back in the Reds back-three and as a right-back for most of the season under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers.
Liverpool kick-off their Premier League campaign next week against Stoke City – Can is expected to start.
