Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has issued a hands off warning to clubs linked with Fernando Muslera.
When asked for his valuation for Fernando Muslera in an interview with Hurriyet, Özbek stated that the Uruguay international is not for sale at any price.
“Muslera is loved by all Galatasaray fans,” Özbek told the Hurriyet newspaper.
“We will not sell him to any club. Galatasaray is one of the worlds biggest clubs.”
Muslera is currently on international duty with the Uruguay national team preparing for the Copa America.
The Turkish newspaper Takvim have stated that the Red Devil’s are preparing an offer for Muslera and want to hold talks with the Uruguay international’s agent. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also wants Muslera according to the Metro.
The Uruguayan international was one of the Galatasaray’s players of the season despite conceding a career high 34 goals over the Süper Lig campaign.
The experienced keeper had to deal with a defence conceding more shots on target (13.9) than any other side in the top six and averaged 3.3 saves per-match according to Whoscored.
The 28-year-old kept shut out the opposition a total of 11 times and kept five consecutive clean sheets – all of which ended in victories – at the most critical stage in the season helping the Lions lift the league title for a record 20th time.
