The former Tottenham and Leicester City striker Gary Lineker has heaped praise on Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.

The BBC and BT Sport presenter took to social media during Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat at the hands of Manchester United.

Lineker stated that “Ozil’s vision and feel is an absolute delight to watch.”

Ozil create a grand total of six goal scoring opportunities more than any other player over the course of the 90 minutes but only one was converted.

The 27-year-old provided his 18th assist in the league to set up Arsenal’s opener and scored his seventh goal of the season for his sides second.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand also took to social media to praise the Germany international.

Ozil could have had more assists as he created the highest number of chances for his side (6) but his teammates squandered his artistry.

The former Real Madrid man has now created 111 chances in the Premier League this season – the highest in the league – however, the Gunners have scored the fewest goals in the top-four (43).
