Image: Arsenal star congratulates Italian legend on reaching 1000 games
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has congratulated Italian footballing legend Gianluigi Buffon on playing his 1000th game.
Ozil shared a picture hugging Buffon on his official Twitter account alongside the following message: “Playing 1000 games is an incredible achievement. Huge respect! #legend @gianluigibuffon”
Buffon capped his 1000th game with a clean sheet and a 2-0 win against Albania in Palermo.
The Juventus star played his 168th game for the Italian national team against Albania.

Buffon is expected to start for Italy in their international friendly against the Netherlands at the Amsterdam Arena on Tuesday 28 March.
