The former Germany international striker Karl-Heinz Riedle has tipped Ilkay Gündoğan to join Barcelona.
Barcelona are preparing to hold late talks with Gündoğan in Ibiza amid reports the 24-year-old is on the verge of a switch to Manchester United.
The Express has stated that the Catalan club’s representatives will travel to Ibiza where Gündoğan is on holiday to persuade the German midfielder to change his mind.
“First of all it is a pity that he is leaving Dortmund. But if he choses to go to Barcelona, I will congratulations him” Riedle told Goal Germany.
“Barcelona suits his style of play. If he is 100 percent fit, he is a sensational player.”
