Kavlak responded to a question asking whether he had held talks with Everton, Stuttgard and Lazio by saying, “I did have talks with some of those clubs but I could not leave Beşiktaş.
“My heart said no, I have a great life here, I have settled in and the fans really like me, I could not leave everything half way through a season, there is no way I could have done that.”
The Austrian international was free to talk with other clubs as his contract was set to run out at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has now agreed a contract extension with the Black Eagles.
Kavlak was born in Austria but is also a Turkish citizen through his parents.
