La Liga is the best league in the world according to Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan.
“In my opinion La Liga is the best league in the world and it is an honour to be playing there,” Turan said.
“To be honest I did not really have a plan, it is just circumstance and lift, I ended up joining Atletico Madrid when they were on the rise and was able to be a part of this amazing team.
“I just try to do whatever I can to benefit the team.
“All I know in life is football, if I left football I would play with the kids in the street, I would play amateur football down the local pitch.
“I love this job, I just hope I stay injury free other than that I have no fear, I just want my team to succeed.”
Turan became the first Turkish player to win a La Liga title when Atletico Madrid lifted the title last season.
The 27-year-old was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final.
Turan has won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, Copa Del Rey and La Liga title since joining the Rojiblancos in 2011.
