Liverpool linked star midfielder Arda Turan close to finalising Galatasaray return

Turkey international Arda Turan is close to a Barcelona exit following a difficult two years at the Camp Nou.

The 30-year-old has recently been linked with Liverpool over the past week. According to Sport, the Catalan giants have offered Turan as part of a part-exchange deal for Philippe Coutinho.

However, Liverpool have so far turned down all bids for the Brazilian star.

Sport are also reporting that Barcelona are close to allowing Turan join Galatasaray on loan.

Per the source, Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut met with Galatasaray president, Dursun Ozbek, to discuss personal terms.

The report states that an agreement is in place, all that’s left is for Barca and Galatasaray to strike a deal.

Sport go onto claim that Barcelona would prefer to sell Turan on a permanent deal however, Galatasaray are the only club to have shown a genuine interest in the player.

Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has publicly stated that the Lions want to sign Turan.

Arda is our child, of course, the most important place for Arda to play is Galatasaray,” Ozbek told NTV.

The former Turkey international scored 13 times and provided seven assists in all competitions last season.
