Emre Can has urged Liverpool to be more clinical if they are to climb up the Premier League table.

The 21-year-old was part of the Red’s side which were defeated by Watford last weekend.

“We have to be more clinical, and that will add up to more points,” Emre Can told Kicker

“We have shown really good football every now and then during the past two months.

“It is not that nice to play against us.”

Can received a rating of just 6.38 from WhoScored for his performance on the night. The 21-year-old made three tackles, one interception and two clearances.

Can also made one key pass but was only able to maintain a passing accuracy of 75%.

Watford remained in seventh place after their win over the Red’s with 28 points in 17 matches. The Hornets have now won four games in a row and are just a point off the top four.

Liverpool take on the in-form Leicester City on Boxing Day.

Can has provided one assist and scored one goal in 24 appearances for Liverpool this season.
