Liverpool set to lose race for defensive target to Spanish giants, reports of four-year deal being struck
Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer is reported to have struck a four-year deal with Spanish giants Sevilla according to Fanatik.
Per the source, the Yellow Canaries have accepted a €10 million bid from the La Liga outfit.
Sevilla have now agreed personal terms with the experienced defender.
The report claims that Liverpool and AC Milan are both interested in Kjaer but are set to lose out in the race for his signature.
The Reds have yet to make an official bid and Fenerbahce are not prepared to wait.
The Istanbul giants want Denmark international’s transfer situation resolved as soon as possible.
The Yellow Canaries have prioritised signing a new striker and feel they have sufficient cover in defence to cope with Kjaer’s exit.

Fenerbahce are facing pressure from Financial Fair Play (FFP) and will have to raise funds through transfer sales to invest in a striker – if they wish to avoid punishment.
Galatasaray were banned from European competitions last season for breaching their FFP targets.
Kjaer does have another two-years remaining on his contract and his agent Mikkel Beck did recently deny previous reports that his client was on the move.
“He is happy in Turkey but if a very large European club makes an offer we will consider it,” Beck told La Voix Du Nord.
“Simon is a very ambitious player.”
Beck did however, reveal that they would consider offers from big clubs – although he did not explain which sides fit his criteria.
