Liverpool star Mohamed Salah surprised to find out where former teammate is playing

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has gone from strength to strength since leaving Roma for the Premier League.

Salah has 15 goals and four assists in 20 games in all competitions for the Reds.

Things could not be more different for Salah’s former teammate Roma teammate Salih Ucan.

The Turkish international struggled at Roma before moving to Fenerbahce and has now been loaned to Switzerland outfit Sion.

Salah revealed he was surprised to find out where Salih is playing now in an interview with Ugur Karakullakci.

“Salih is really talented and a great guy, it did not work out for him at Roma as he did not get much playing time but I believe in him,” Salah said.

Karakullakci told Salah, “He plays for Sion now.”

The Egyptian international responded, “I am surprised to hear that but I am sure he will move onto better places.”

Salih has one goal and three assists in 10 appearances for Sion in all competitions.

The Turkish international has struggled for playing time since leaving Fenerbahce.

The 23-year-old only played 346 minutes of football for Roma during a two-year loan stint but that was also partly down to recurring injuries.

Salih has established himself as a first team player for Sion who are currently 7th in the league on 17 points after 16 games.
