Liverpool vs Southampton: Probable Lineups, team news – Klopp faces game time decision over star man

Liverpool take on Southampton at Anfield on Saturday hoping to extend their win streak in all competitions to four games.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp almost has a full strength squad with several players including Emre Can returning from international duty.

Can is match fit and likely to start in central midfield against the Saints.

Klopp does has two major decisions to make heading into the clash over Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane.

Lallana hasn’t played a competitive game this campaign after suffering a thigh injury in pre-season against Atletico Madrid.

The England international is set for a return after returning to full training this week.

Mane was suspected to have been injured on international duty but it was not as serious as initially thought.

Klopp will make a game time decision over whether Mane features. Lallana is likely to feature at some stage but is not expected to start.

Klopp said: “With Sadio we have to wait, we will see today.

“Adam has been in training for three or four days, he was out for a long time, it’s fantastic that he’s back. He lost no skills or anything, he trained really well. But in the next few weeks we have games every three days and we will need him for that.”

Captain Jordan Henderson meanwhile, has recovered from a thigh injury and will be available.

Meanwhile, Mario Lemina is set to be Southampton’s only absentee against Liverpool with an ankle injury.

Liverpool will win a third Premier League game in a row for the first time in 12 months if they beat the Saints.
