Liverpool youngster to play regular football under Markus Babbel

Liverpool u21 manager Michael Beale believes that Samed Yeşil will play regular football under a former Liverpool player Markus Babbel this season.

Babbel managers FC Luzern who signed Yeşil on a season long loan earlier this summer.

“Samed Yesil will now get regular football at a really good level on a season-long loan with FC Luzern under former Liverpool favourite, Markus Babbel,” Beale told Liverpool FC.

“We played Luzern recently in a friendly and they have a lovely stadium with outstanding facilities.”

Yeşil joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million.

The young striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season.

Yeşil has represented Germany at U21 international level but could still play for the senior Turkish national team.
