Man City news: Star midfielder could make first appearance since December after making squad for Feyenoord clash

Manchester City take on Feyenoord in their opening Champions League clash at the De Kuip stadium.

The Citizens will have goalkeeper Ederson available after he was included in the squad.

The Brazilian trained ahead of the Feyenoord clash despite suffering a nasty clash with Liverpool’s Sadio Mane at the weekend.

Captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt due to a calm injury but Raheem Sterling is available after serving a domestic ban.

Star midfielder of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan has also been named in the squad and travelled to the Netherlands.

The Germany international has not featured for City since December after suffering a knee injury.

Gundogan has made a full recovery and was named in the match-day squad against Liverpool over the weekend but did not feature.

The 26-year-old could make his first appearance of 2017 in the Group F opener in Rotterdam.
