Ozyakup has attracted widespread interest from across Europe following his rise from an Arsenal youth player to star man at Besiktas.

The Netherlands born midfielder was a part of the Arsenal Class of 92 and won the Youth FA Cup in 2008 along with Jack Wilshere and Francis Coquelin.

The latest club to be linked with Ozyakup is Atletico Madrid who are prepared to pay €15 million [£13m] for his services according to the AMK sports newspaper.

Besiktas value Ozyakup as being worth €25 million [£21m] and want to keep him on next season.

The Black Eagles could however, be forced into selling Ozyakup if he does not sign a contract extension at the end of the season.

Ozyakup will have 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the current campaign.

The 24-year-old played an integral role in Besiktas winning the league title last season.

Besiktas are favourites to defend the title and are currently first in the Turkish league.

Ozyakup started in the 2-1 defeat against Lyon in France last Thursday. The central midfielder is almost certain to start in the return-leg in Istanbul tomorrow.
