Man United receive transfer boost as Barcelona are unwilling to loan out £30m star midfielder – ‘Mourinho a long term admirer of the player’
Manchester United have received a boost in the race to sign the Turkey international star Arda Turan.
Daily Turkish newspaper Sabah report Turan is unlikely to join his boyhood club Galatasaray this summer. Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut was quoted as saying: “There is only a 10% chance of Turan joining Galatasaray this summer. Barcelona are only interested in selling him on a permanent deal.”
The 30-year-old has been closely linked with a move away from Barcelona after falling out of favour with manager Ernesto Valverde.
According to the Turkish outlet Futbol Arena, Turan waiting on Man United manager Jose Mourinho to make a move for him this summer.
AS have also claimed that the Portuguese tactician is keen on a move for Turan. The Spanish outlet goes on to state that United boss Mourinho has held talks with Turan and is a ‘a long term admirer of the player.’

Turan – who has three years remaining on his contract with Barcelona has been valued at €30 million by Barcelona.
The 30-year-old provided seen assists and scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for Barcelona last season. Turan is yet to feature for the Catalan giants this term.
