Arsenal may have suffered a further blow to their title challenge following the goalless draw against Southampton at the Emirates yesterday but Mesut Özil did manage to break a record.
Özil created a whopping 10 chances against Southampton which is a new Premier League record unfortunately he was unable to add to his assist record as a result of his Arsenal teammates profligacy.

Arsenal failed to sign another striker over the winter transfer window and will have to make do with their current set of forwards until the end of the season.
The World Cup winner has provided the highest number of assists in the league this season (16) but will have to wait until the weekend game against Bournemouth to try and add to his tally.
