Mesut Ozil can win Arsenal the Premier League title according to the former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
Redknapp also likened the Germany international to a Ghost for his ability to find space on the pitch.
“Put simply, Mesut Ozil looks like the man who can win Arsenal the title. The German is a joy to watch at the moment,” Redknapp wrote in the Daily Mail newspaper.
Ozil played a staring role in Arsenal’s win over Manchester City on Monday.
The former Real Madrid man received a a rating of 8.1 from Whoscored for his performance on the night. Ozil took 59 touches on the ball, made two key passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 89%.
The 27-year-old has been in sensational form this season and has won back-to-back Vitality Arsenal Play of the Month awards over the last two months.
Arsenal take on Southampton in the Premier League on Boxing day.
