On-loan Liverpool winger will miss international break

On loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic will miss the international break due to injury. The Serbian national team star has been unable to play for Fenerbahce over the past few weeks due to a hamstring problem.

Markovic is expected to return after the break and has already returned to training but has yet to make a full recovery.

Fenerbahce will take on Osmanlispor after the break and the 21-year-old is likely to feature.

Markovic joined Fenerbahce on a one-year loan from Liverpool after failing to settle in under the stewardship of former manager Brendan Rodgers.

The young winger has two goals and three assists in 20 appearances for the Yellow Canaries this season and has established himself as a first team regular when fit.

The Yellow Canaries are currently second in the league just four points behind leaders Besiktas with a game in hand after the Intercontinental derby yesterday against arch-rivals Galatasaray was postponed due to a security threat.
