Pedro Franco takes Besiktas red card tally up to 9 [divider]
Colombian international Pedro Franco was sent off for a professional foul on Sercan Yıldırım during the 2-2 draw against Balıkesirspor in the Süper Lig.
Franco brought down Yıldırım outside the penalty area to deny him a goal scoring opportunity.
The red card was the Black Eagles ninth in the Süper Lig this season and Franco’s second.
The 23-year-old defender was also the last Beşiktaş player to receive a sending off in the league back on 26 January against Gençlerbirliği for a similar incident.
The Black Eagles have had a total of seven different players sent off in all competitions over the last three months.
Gökhan Töre, Olcay Şahan, Ismail Koybaşı, Veli Kavlak, Mustafa Pektemek have all received one red card while Atiba Hutchinson and France have two.
Beşiktaş have been shown nine red cards in the Süper Lig and one in the UEFA Europa League.
The Black Eagles are currently in second place in the Süper Lig, just three points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
