Real Madrid plot €20m move for Porto star Alex Telles

Real Madrid have set their sights on Galatasaray’s former left-back Alex Telles.

A source close to the player has told Turkish-Football that the La Liga giants want to sign the Brazilian defender. Meanwhile, Turkish newspaper Fanatik state that Madrid are plotting a €20 million move for Telles.

The news won’t be taken well by Galatasaray fans after their club sold the popular full-back for just €6.5 million over the summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Telles is open to representing the Italy national team despite being born in Brazil.

“I may be Brazilian, but my great grandparents are Italian and I feel Italian,” Telles told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I just have to think about doing a good job at Porto and if I do well here, then maybe something will happen.”

Telles has cemented his place in Porto’s starting line-up following his arrival from Galatasaray.

The 24-year-old is expected to start for the Portuguese side tonight against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

Telles has provided eight assists and scored one goal in 32 apperances for Porto in all competitions this season.
