Emre Can has been included in Liverpool’s starting line-up for their league cup clash against Southampton tonight.
The Germany international was also included in the Red’s starting eleven which defeated Swansea City in the league over the weekend. Liverpool beat the Swans by a 1-0 scoreline at home to move six points within the reach of Premier League leaders Leicester City.
Can started in central midfield for Liverpool and has made a total of 20 appearances in all competitions for the Reds this season.
The 21-year-old has played in various positions since joining the Reds including centre-back, right-back and central midfield.
