Tottenham prepared to make offer for Serbian international after sending representatives for talks

Tottenham are prepared to make an for Besiktas full-back Dusko Tosic according to BeIN Turkey.

Per the source, Spurs sent representatives to hold talks with Besiktas over a January transfer.

The North London based outfit are yet to make an official offer but reportedly received a positive response following their enquiries.

Tosic has struck up an impressive defensive partnership with Pepe but can also play as a full-back.

The 32-year-old has played a role in Besiktas winning the league title for the past two seasons.

Tosic has experience playing in England for QPR and is a seasoned international player for Serbia.

The defender has also been the Black Eagles first choice centre-back in the Champions League this season.

Tosic has been averaging 2.8 tackles and 4.3 interceptions in the elite European club competition.

In fact Tosic has averages the second highest number of interceptions in the Champions League – the most when compared to players who have played all four games.

The Istanbul giants are first in Group G on 10 points after four games and could end up finishing the group as leaders even if they don’t win their next two matches.
