Tottenham strike £12.5m deal with Galatasaray for Bruma

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Galatasaray over the transfer of the Portuguese winger Bruma.

A source close to the Istanbul giants have revealed to Turkish-Football that informal talks have been held with Tottenham regarding Bruma.

Per the source the two parties have struck a deal in the region of £12.5 million.

However, a formal bid has yet to be made and Tottenham have not discussed personal terms with Bruma.

Bruma is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League and will have just a year remaining on his contract this summer.

Contract talks between Galatasaray and the Portugal U21 international have stalled. The Lions are unwilling to match Bruma’s contract demands.

Bruma’s representative in Turkey, Marco Kirdemir recently revealed to Turkish-Football that he has received offers from the Premier League.

“I have received offers for Bruma, Premier League sides are interested in him and he is more than capable of playing in that league,” Kirdemir said.

Meanwhile, the Sun recently linked Manchester United with an £8 million move for the Galatasaray star.

Bruma has eight goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Galatasaray so far this season.

  1. If you “strike a deal” there are no more negotiations left.
What on earth is this article trying to say?

    • Well you have to strike a deal with the player and club. Two clubs can agree only for the player to scupper a deal or vica versa. Transfers often involve several agents and third parties. Rarely a simple matter
