Nigeria’s Emmanuel Emenike is set for a loan move to Al Ain after falling out of favour at Fenerbahce.
Emenike is due to arrive in the UAE tomorrow to complete a season-long loan from the Super Lig giants. The deal will include an option for Al Ain to sign the Nigeria international at the end of the loan period.
The 28-year-old striker has been linked with a number of clubs over the past season from England and Russia.
Tottenham were linked with a €10 million move in January for Emenike by the newspaper Metro.
Emenike scored only five goals in 34 league appearances last season in all competitions.
The Nigerian international was booed by his own fans in the recent Istanbul derby against Beşiktaş. Emenike took off his shirt and walked off the field in protest but later returned to the game.
Fenerbahçe finished the Süper Lig as runners up and booked a place in next seasons Champions League competition.
