UEFA have fined Trabzonspor for lighting flares during the Europa League clash against Lokeren in Belgium.
A Trabzonspor fan also ran onto the field of play before kick-off.
Trabzonspor released a statement on their official website which reads, “The UEFA’s discipline committee has fined our club 55.00 Euro’s.”
“UEFA’s reasoning for the fine is that during the Europa League game against Lokeren on 6 November 2014, a fan ran onto the pitch and during the game flares were lit and thrown onto the field.”
The Black Sea based club’s next Europa League tie is against the Ukrainian side Metalist on Noverber 27.
Ersun Yanal’s side sit in second place in Group L and know a point can secure their passage to the next round.
