(Video) “He’s not kidding us” – Arsenal legend rips into star playmaker Mesut Ozil
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has taken aim at Mesut Ozil following the Gunners defeat to Stoke City.
Jese Rodriquez scored the games only goal on Saturday during the Potters 1-0 victory.
Keown believes Arsenal cannot afford to ‘carry’ Ozil if the Germany international is just “going through the motions”. The former England international stated that Ozil was at fault for the goal Arsenal conceded.
Ozil has been on the end of heavy criticism from pundits following Arsenal’s defeat on Saturday.
“Arsenal can’t afford to carry someone like Ozil,” Keown stated on BT Sport.
“Today, he wants to have a good look at himself because he’s not kidding us watching the game, it’s not real.
“It felt like he was going through the motions today a lot of the time and I think in the goal they concede shows that.”
