Fenerbahce crushed Swiss giants Grasshoppers 3-0 at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium in their Europa League qualifier first-leg clash to record their first victory under the stewardship of Dick Advocaat.

At opened the scoring making the most of a goalkeeping blunder for his first Fenerbahce goal inside five minutes.

Miroslav Stoch scored soon after the half-time break to double the home sides lead but saved his best until last with a stunning long range effort in time added on.

Martin Skrtel put in a valiant defensive display for the Yellow Canaries helping his side keep their first clean sheet of the season in the process and his first since leaving Liverpool.

The Istanbul giants take on Grasshoppers next Thursday in Switzerland for the return leg.
