The Gunners have been scouting the 22-year-old and are expected to make an offer the Dutch born Turkish star.
Özyakup is of course a former Arsenal youth playing a major role in Gunners Under-18s side that won the Premier Academy League title in 2009.
The 22-year-old joined Beşiktaş in 2012 for a fee of €500,000 and played the last two seasons under the management of current West Ham boss Slaven Bilic.
