Hakan Calhanoglu
Turkish-Football recently revealed that Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu.
The 23-year-old’s agent Demirtas has stated that a summer exit could be on the cards but did not reveal which clubs are interested.
“Hakan is currently contracted to Leverkusen for another three years,” Demirtas said.
“If there is an offer which matches Bayer’s valuation and which suits Hakan, then my client is open to leave. However, the final decision lies with the club.”
Arsenal have been linked with Calhanoglu in the past, the Daily Mirror reported that the North London side sent scouts to keep tabs on the Turkish international last December.
Calhanoglu has a reputation as being a set piece specialist, he also possesses a dangerous long shot.
The playmaker has a wealth of Bundesliga, Champions League and international experience and players born in Germany of Turkish origin have an impressive track record in England – Emre Can, Mesut Ozil, Ilkay Gundogan.
