3 Turkish players Wenger should consider as part of £100m Arsenal overhaul

Emre Mor

The Turkish international winger was snapped up by Dortmund over the summer. The 18-year-old was one of the first signings made after Tuchel was appointed head coach. Mor possesses explosive acceleration and brilliant dribbling ability. The Gunners do not exactly have an abundance of fast, technically gifted wingers and if Alexis Sanchez leaves over the summer it would leave just Alex Iwobi, Oxlade Chamberlain and Theo Walcott capable of playing as a winger.

Mor has established himself as a regular call-up to the Turkish national teal setup and provided an assist in his first start in Euro 2016 against the Czech Republic.

Tuchel has yet to make Mor a first-team regular due to his age but he has made no secret that he rates the younger highly.

“He’s an incredible talent. We won’t change our opinion of that but he came to us after half a pro season in Denmark.” Tuchel was quoted as saying by Goal.

“The transition for him is huge. Of course there are ups and downs in his performances.

“He has to learn the job of being a professional footballer. He needs to be patient.

“Mor can become a special player. He’s working diligently and we’re giving him all the support.”

Arsenal may struggle to prize Mor away from Dortmund considering he still has another four-years remaining on his contract but the promise of more regular first-team football could lure him to the Premier League.
