Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre has been closely linked with a move to Atletico Madrid over the transfer window but has revealed that he has his sights set at playing in England.
Töre is expected to stay at Beşiktaş until the end of the season however, a summer exit could be on the cards following the transfer of Aras Özbiliz from Spartak Moscow.
Özbiliz has been loaned to Rayo Vallecano as there is currently too much competition in the side but he will return over the summer.
The Armenian international is expected to leave Töre who has had no shortage of suitors.
Beşiktaş recently turned down a £7.4 million bid from the Hammers according to the Sun newspaper but he could be tempted to join at the end of the season.
“I do want to play abroad but my preference is England over Spain,” Töre was quoted as saying by Yeni Şafak.
Töre does of course have Premier League experience having played for Chelsea as a youth before his move to HSV.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic knows Töre well having coached him for two seasons as Beşiktaş. Bilic recently stated that he tried to sign the 23-year-old at the start of the season.
“I have always said that Gökhan Töre could play at any European team he has both the quality and the potential,” Bilic said.
