Emre Can was one of the stars performers in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League.
The Red’s won the tightly contested match with a penalty scored by their summer signing James Milner.
The 21-year-old was deployed in a defensive midfielder role, which is usually occupied by Lucas Leiva who was serving a suspension.
Can received a rating of 7.8 from WhoScored for his performance on the day. The Germany international made five clearances, four interceptions and four tackles.
The 21-year-old completed the highest number of passes for his side (80) at an 83 percent accuracy.
Can is expected to be rested ahead of the Reds League Cup game on Wednesday against Southampton but is likely to return to the starting lineup in the Premier League next week.
The young midfielder has scored one goal in 20 appearances for Liverpool this season.
