Arsenal’s in-form playmaker Mesut Ozil has stated that he is not contemplating being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League tomorrow by Olympiakos.
The Gunners take on the Greek Super League champions tomorrow in their final group stage game. Arsenal need to win by two goals in order to advance to the next round.
“We’re not looking at that [getting knocked out],” Ozil was quoted as saying by ESPN.
“We have the quality to beat them and our goal is not to think about going out of the competition. We want to win this game and get through to the next round.”
Olympiakos stunned Arsenal with a 3-2 win at the Emirates as the North London based side were consigned to a second successive Champions League defeat in September.
Ozil has scored four goals and provided 12 assists in 20 appearances for Arsenal this season. The Gunners sit in second place in the Premier League with 30 points after 15 games.
