Emre Can has taken to social media to wish his Liverpool teammate Jordon Ibe a happy birthday.
The Germany international posted a picture on Instagram of the duo training along with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my Bro @jordon_ibe.”
Emre Can missed Liverpool’s defeat at the hands of Newcastle United last weekend. The former Bayer Leverkusen man received a yellow card during Liverpool’s win over Southampton in the League Cup.
Can is expected to return to the starting line-up for Liverpool’s Europa League clash on Thursday.
An own-goal from Martin Skrtel and a classy finish from Wijnaldum gave Newcastle all three points on the day. The Reds were looking to continue their run of form under Jurgen Klopp when they traveled to St James’ Park.
Can has scored one goal and provided one assist in 21 appearances for Liverpool this season.
