Arsenal beat Olmypiakos 3-0 in Greece to pull off the great escape and book a place in the Champions League Last 16 for the 16th consecutive season.
Mesut Özil started for the Gunners and was in great form yet again playing a key role in the opening goal against the Greek giants.
Robbie Savage was the commentator for the game on BT Sport and was full of praise for the World Cup winner especially his work-rate which often goes unnoticed.
Savage went as far as to describe Arsenal as a team built around the ‘magnificent’ Özil.
“What goes unnoticed with Özil is his work-rate the amount of miles he covers in the game,” Savage said during the game.
“You know people can criticise him that sometimes he looks laboured or lazy but he works so so hard add to that the goals and the assists.
“I believe this team is build around Özil what a magnificent player.”
The World Cup winner played an important role in Arsenal’s opening goal against Olympiakos cutting open the opposition defence with a pinpoint pass to Ramsey who setup Olivier Giroud.

Özil is has won the Arsenal Vitality Player of the Month award for the past two consecutive months and has 12 assist in 13 Premier League appearances this season.
