Arsenal beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Villa Park to move into first place in the Premier League table on Sunday.
Mesut Özil was in excellent form yet again and provided his 13th assist in his 15th league game of the season – the highest in Europe’s top five leagues which also includes France, Spain, Germany and Italy.

Sky Sports football pundit Graeme Souness was full of praise for Özil before the game even started and stated that he is the type of player every manager would dream to have on the team.
Souness did reveal that he feels Özil is not always the most hard working player but underlined that his strengths far outweigh his weaknesses.
“When Arsenal are on the front foot and winning games people can turn a blind eye to when he has the ball and loses it and won’t sprint to win it back but I think he is so silky so easy on the eye that you have got to have him on the team,” Souness said speaking ahead of the game.
Özil setup Aaron Ramsey with the second goal of the game and has been regularly praised by leading football pundits for his contributions to the Arsenal team this season.
Arsenal are currently first in the league but Leicester City have the chance to move ahead of the Gunners with a win over reigning champions Chelsea today.
