West Brom are plotting a move for Beşiktaş winger Kerim Frei according to the Mirror.
The Baggies will make a move for Frei if their attempt to sign QPR winger Matt Phillips for £7 million falls through.
The Premier League outfit want Frei on a loan move and Beşiktaş could be tempted to let the 22-year-old gain more Premier League experience.
Frei is of course no stranger to top-flight football in England as he rose through the ranks of the Fulham academy before his move to Turkey two-years ago.
West Brom were unable to sign the Scottish international over the summer but will reportedly try their luck again in January.
Frei has started to break into the Beşiktaş first team and provided Gökhan Töre with the assist that ended up winning the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray yesterday.
The Turkish international has two goals and two assists in all competitions for the Black Eagles this season.
Frei still has another three-years left on his current deal and Beşiktaş coach Şenol Güneş has underlined that he does not want the 22-year-old to leave on a permanent deal.
