Chelsea are preparing a January move for Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder according to the Turkish newspaper AMK.
The report states that the Netherlands international is unhappy with recent developments at the club and his considering his options.
Sneijder signed a contract extension earlier this season meaning his contract with Galatasaray doesn’t expire until September 2018. The 31-year-old has a release clause of €7.5 million.
Fanatik also report that the Blues are plotting a move for Sneijder who had his most successful period under the stewardship of Mourinho.
The experienced playmaker did of course play under the stewardship of Mourinho while at Inter Milan where the duo lifted the UEFA Champions League and Serie A under the Portuguese manager.
Sneijder has setup five assists and scored four goals in 21 games in all competitions for the Lions this season.
Galatasaray take on Akhisar Belediyespor in the Turkish Super League this weekend.
