Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on the Germany international Mesut Ozil’s work rate.
The former Monaco boss stated that Ozil is an ‘exceptional fighter’ and that ‘he covers a lot of distance.’
“People forget that he is an exceptional fighter. He covers a lot of distance. He’s become an absolutely unbelievable player,” Wenger was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
Özil is has won the Arsenal Vitality Player of the Month award for the past two consecutive months and has 13 assist in 15 Premier League games this season.
The World Cup winner has played a key role in the north London based side reaching the Champions League Last 16 for the 15th consecutive season.
Arsenal take on Manchester City next Monday in a critical league encounter which could see the Gunners go top. Özil has won back-to-back FA Cups since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid.
