Arsenal have the chance to move into first place in the Premier League table with a victory against Southampton at the St Mary’s stadium following Leicester City’s defeat against Liverpool today.

The Gunners would have extended their winning run to three games should they end up beating the Saints today.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has decided to give Mesut Özil a spot in the starting lineup following his heroics against Manchester City last week.

The World Cup winner has been in brilliant form for the Gunners providing 15 assists in 16 games this season.

Özil will match the club record for assists provided in a single season if he sets up another goal tonight.
