Galatasaray returned to winning ways in the Turkish Super Lig following a 3-1 win over Sivasspor.
Selcuk Inan opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 14th minute while an in-form Sinan Gumus doubled his sides lead 10 minutes later.
Texeira reduced Galatasaray’s lead to one goal mid-way though the second half however, Burak Yilmaz’s late goal secured all three points for Mustafa Denizli’s side.
The Lion’s remain in third place following yesterdays victory and will be hoping for their Istanbul rivals to drop points this weekend.
