Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has stated that he is used to the ups and downs in football.
The 27-year-old said that he understands that sometimes he will be the hero and at other times he will be made out to be the scapegoat.
“That’s football, I am used to this, sometimes you are the hero, and sometimes the scapegoat,” Ozil said in an interview with the DFB (via Goal).
“With that said, I am aware that my performances for Germany may not have been as consistent as they have been for Arsenal. My aim for 2016 is to impress [for] both.”
Ozil has provided 16 assists and has found the back of the net twice in 26 appearances for the Gunners this season.
The Gunners moved back into pole position in the Premier League following their draw Yesterday.
Arsenal based side are level on points with Leicester City and one point ahead of Manchester City.
Ozil is expected to return to Arsenal;s starting line-up after missing his sides clash with stoke last weekend due to a foot injury.
