Lazar Markovic has stated that he is solely focused on the current season with Fenerbahce and not what may happen when his loan from Liverpool runs out.
The Serbia international joined the Turkish Super Lig giants on a season-long loan from Liverpool in the summer.
“I’m trying to do my best. I came here for the championship”, Markovic was quoted as saying by AMK Spor following Fenerbahce’s 3-0 win over Eskisehirspor.
“Currently I am focused on that goal.
“What happens at the end of the season, we will see.”
Fenerbahçe meanwhile want to extend Lazar Markovic’s loan deal by another season according to Mynet.
Markovic joined Liverpool in 2014 from Portuguese giants Benfica after being tipped as one of the hottest properties in European football but struggled to settle in under Rodgers.
The Serbian international has two assists and one goal for the Yellow Canaries this season.
