Emmanuel Eboue has stated that he was treated unfairly by the club President Unal Aysal during his spell at Galatasaray.
The Ivory Coast international joined Galatasaray from Arsenal on a £2 million deal back in August 2011. Eboue went on to make 101 appearances for the Istanbul giants over a four-year spell.
Despite making an impressive start to his Galatasaray career, things did not end well for Eboue in Istanbul. The 32-year-old claims the club president Unal Aysal told then manager Cesare Prandelli not to pick him in his final season.
‘I came back for training and was told I would not be playing,” Eboue told the Sun (via Daily Mail)
‘The president told the manager at the time not to pick me. The way I was treated was very unfair.”
The Ivory Coast international made 214 appearances for the north London club before joining Galatasaray.
